About CoolClick

In business since 1997. Still working directly with you.

Our Story

CoolClick was founded in San Diego in 1997 — back when most businesses were just discovering the web. Nearly three decades later, we're still here, still building, and still working directly with our clients. No account managers, no runaround.

We've built and maintained websites for sole proprietors, small and medium businesses, web development agencies, and large international corporations. Our goal has always been the same: effective, expandable websites that don't break the budget or drag out deadlines.

We work across many platforms — WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Drupal, and custom builds. We recommend what's right for your project, not what's easiest for us.

How We Work

1

Discovery

We learn your goals, audience, and existing assets.

2

Design

We propose a layout and visual direction for your approval.

3

Build

We develop, test, and refine until it's right.

4

Launch

We launch, train you on the CMS, and stay available.

Tonga

Office Dog & Morale Officer

Tonga is a rescue Golden Retriever mix from Tijuana who brings warmth — and a fair amount of fur — to the office. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she handles morale, afternoon naps, and the occasional Zoom call cameo.

She has a well-known penchant for shedding a ridiculous amount of hair and maintains strong opinions about her diet, favoring organic, non-GMO, grain-free dog food.

Brian

Designer

Brian brings an architect's eye to web development, focusing on functionality and site organization. He designs websites that are both user-friendly and scalable for future growth.

Originally a Drupal developer, Brian now specializes in customized WordPress website construction. He transitioned away from Drupal after the platform shifted toward enterprise solutions, which he considers unsuitable for smaller and medium-sized businesses.

Brian handles website conversions from outdated CMS platforms like Drupal and emphasizes the importance of regular maintenance programs to address security patches and software updates, helping minimize hacking risks and software bugs.

As described on the site, Brian's experience as an architect lends functionality guidance and site organization to the sites he builds. His forward-thinking approach ensures websites can grow and expand while remaining manageable for clients to update.

Meg

Manager

Meg brings over 30 years of web, design, and ad agency experience to every project she touches — and she touches all of them. As Creative Director, she oversees builds and client relationships with a perspective that spans from 50,000 feet to the finest detail, catching what others miss at every altitude.

Her eye for design, her instinct for brand, and her ability to read both a project and the people behind it are assets that cannot be outsourced or reinvented. Clients benefit from her background in ad agency work, social media strategy, and content creation — the same skills she applies as an influencer and brand builder in her own right.

Whether she's reviewing a layout, shaping a client's voice, or ensuring a site holds together visually and strategically, Meg's standard is simple: it has to be right.
